Anthony’s Pre-Game Conference Card

Updated 2007–09–03 • No Further Updates

By popular demand, I am making available my locally-famous Pre-Game Conference Card. I developed this back in 1991 when I found that there were things I liked about both the IAABO and CABO (Canadian Association of Basketball Officials) Pre-Game Cards, and there were a couple of things that I always covered that were missing from both. Although it is designed for games under FIBA Rules using two officials, much of it is universally applicable. It is very thorough, so it is excellent for use with an official you have not worked with before. Thanks to Ken Runquist, who suggested changes to the card to reflect rule changes to FIBA up to 2006 and a clarification to one of the items.

Creative Commons Licence (by-nc-sa)This Pre-Game Card is now licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 Canada Licence (click on the link to get a short explanation about what that means; the full licence can be referenced from that page). Basically, if you meet the terms of the licence, there is no charge to use it.

Please let me know if you are using the card (especially if it is for a clinic) and/or if you publish your own version of it under the Share Alike provision. I’m interested in seeing how (and how much) it gets used.

To view the card, you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download a free copy from www.adobe.com.
