FIBA
- Changes effective October 1, 2012 were mostly editorial in nature. Team Bench Personnel is now explicitly covered in the rules; some new allowances for Assistant coaches (can stand, but only one coach at a time); front court status clarified; free throw shooter predominance (re: violations) clarified; undergarments that extend outside the shorts no longer permitted; timing clarified re: last 2 minutes and when the shot clock can be switched off.
NCAA
- NCAA Men's and Women's Rules Committees Press Release annoucing rule changes for 2013–15. Both rule sets expand the use of video replay. The Men change the interpretation of block-charge (to "allow for more offensive freedom"). The Women have added a 10 second backcourt count and revised their closely guarded 5-second count to match the Men's rules, as well as an extension of the no-charge area (now the "lower defensive box") which limits how you can draw a charge in certain situations. The Men's and Women's rule books will now be published separately.
